Winter Solstice by Emily Sheffer
During the 2017 winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, Emily Sheffer made a cyanotype of the same image for every hour of daylight. As the day passed, the cyanotypes faded, and eventually disappeared on the final 4 pm exposure. A small circle at the bottom of each image represents the sun moving in a gentle arc across the sky.
